Life Story of Tian E. Johnson
Tian E. Johnson, the son of Roosevelt Johnson and the late Kathy Renee Johnson, was born at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on December 3, 1987.
On March 27, 2026, Tian transitioned at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina after a short illness.
Tian received his early childhood education in the Philadelphia School System. He later earned his GED in Danville, Virginia, where he relocated following the death of his grandmother, the late Jean Collins.
While living in Danville, Virginia, Tian began working for the Food Lion Market in the Deli Department. He approached his work with the same kindness and compassion with which he lived his life. His good spirit and high energy earned him the respect of his colleagues and the customers. His dedication to his job earned him a promotion to Deli Manager. Tian was a hard worker who loved his job because he was such a people person. He was especially happy and proud when he was promoted to Deli Manager.
Tian had a great impact on people around him with through the warmth and humor he brought to every aspect of his life. He enjoyed socializing with his friends, eating good food, and watching professional sports on television. Tian also loved playing video games and had a particular fondness for the superhero “Batman.” He could often be seen wearing T-shirts featuring the Batman logo.
Tian was preceded in death by his mother Kathy Renee Johnson.
Those Tian leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Roosevelt Johnson; one brother, Doyya Johnson; three sisters, Anessa Johnson, Latasha Smith, and Zsalacey Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Lovingly submitted, the Family
