STELLA L. WILLIAMS

Stella Louise Williams, born on November 5, 1949, in Manhattan, New York, gracefully departed this life on June 19, 2026, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. She was cherished as the daughter of the late John Green and Corine Gibbs and is now reunited with her parents, her brother John (Buzz) Green, sister Emma (Subbie) Gibbs, and her beloved nieces Sharon Bishop-Jenning and Tajaune (TJ) Morris.

Educated in New York City's public schools and a proud alumna of the Wilfred Beauty Academy, Stella's life was a tapestry woven with diverse talents. She was a seamstress, a beautician, and a dedicated behavioral specialist. Her love for people was expressed through her artistry—cooking, crocheting, hairstyling, and her passion for music. Stella’s creative flair led to the creation of her own clothing line, and she was honored to be a hairstylist for the iconic Patti LaBelle.

From early years, following her mother’s passing, Stella and her siblings were lovingly cared for by her older sister Emma, who embraced this role at a tender age. Stella faced life's challenges and joys with a spirit of independence, characterized by her love for travel and the deep connections she fostered with family and friends. To know Stella was to have a friend eternally by your side.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her devoted son, Lythrum Williams, and her adoring granddaughter, Siyah Lee Guerrant. Stella’s light continues to shine through her sisters, Mary Lorraine Harris (Arthur) and Faith White, her brother Samuel Green, and a family network of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless friends who will feel her absence profoundly.

Stella’s essence remains in the hearts of those who knew her, and her presence will be dearly missed by her loving family.
