THE LIFE STORY

The Life of Robin "Rob" Michelle Bryant

Robin "Rob" Michelle Bryant entered the world on January 27, 1956, as the second child born to the late William and Patricia Carter. Raised in North Philadelphia, she attended M. Hall Stanton Elementary School, Harding Middle School, and Simon Gratz High School before pursuing her passion for nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. After becoming a Registered Nurse, Robin faithfully served at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital for 35 years. In 1999, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from La Salle University and later continued her career with Independence Blue Cross.

Robin enjoyed traveling and created lasting memories on trips to Egypt, San Francisco, and Los Angeles with her daughter. She cherished every opportunity to gather with her large family for birthdays, holidays, reunions, and vacations. Her famous macaroni and cheese was a family favorite, making the question, "Who's bringing the mac and cheese?" an answer everyone already knew. Robin also loved shopping at Macy's, one of her favorite pastimes.

A woman of strong faith, Robin worshipped throughout her life at Foster Memorial Church, Deliverance Evangelistic Church, Emmanuel United Methodist Church, and later The Baptist Worship Center. She joyfully served by singing in the choir, teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, assisting with Children's Church, and welcoming others through the Greeter Ministry.

In 1974, Robin met the love of her life, Johnny Bryant, Jr., and they were united in marriage on July 6, 1979. Together they built a loving home and were blessed with two wonderful children, Joy and Johnathan. Robin was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, faithful servant of God, and a treasured friend whose kindness touched countless lives.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, William and Patricia Carter; her infant brother, Michael; her mother-in-law, Alberta; her brother-in-law, Earl; and her sister-in-law, Kathy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Johnny Bryant, Jr.; her daughter, Joy, and son-in-law, Bryheim; her son, Johnathan, and daughter-in-law, Chanel; her goddaughter, Ieshia; her beloved grandchildren, John ("Shoob"), Camryn, and Cain ("Chubbs"); her stepson, Mark; her sister-in-law, Diane; her brother-in-law, Willie; her special sister-cousin, Monica; her devoted caregiver, Nataira; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Lovingly Submitted,

The Family
