Life Story
Marcia McNatt was born October 10, 1966, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Melvin Jenkins and Theresa McNatt. She was lovingly known to family and friends as “Cee” and “Noodie”. Marcia McNatt received her formal education through the Philadelphia public school system. From a young age, she was a natural problem solver and was always willing to help others. If you needed a place to stay, her door was always open, complete with food and comfort. Marcia also volunteered her time serving meals to the homeless community. She was always a phone call away, no matter what the issue was.
Throughout her life, Marcia held various employment positions. Her most notable role was as a supervisor for PBS Janitorial Services, where she worked until her retirement. Marcia found great joy in sports, playing cards, and creating lasting memories withfamily and friends. Marcia’s heart belonged to her beloved son, Raymond Thomas McNatt, who preceded her in death in 2003. He was her pride and joy. She would light up whenever she spoke about him. The two of them were a team that had each others back. They had an unbreakable bond. Though Raymond is no longer here, he left behind the most precious gift a child could leave their mother, a handsome, educated, and well spoken grandson, Raquan McNatt. Marcia had an extension of her son’s love and legacy. She was a very proud grandmother, you couldn't talk to Marcia without her mentioning Raquan.
Marcia departed this life unexpectedly on August 06, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Jenkins, her Mother, Theresa “Bunny” McNatt, and her son, Raymond Thomas McNatt. Before her passing, Marcia was a spiritual person. Marcia leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. Marcia is survived by three sisters: Mary McNatt, Elizabeth McNatt, and Jana McNatt Green; one brother, Gregory McNatt; an honorary sister, Charity McNatt; and her grandson, Raquan McNatt. She is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.
