Life Story
Linda Harris was born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 3, 1957, to the late Leon Morton and Margarett Ross. The family resided in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, where she graduated from Olney High School in the class of 1975.
Linda received certifications in cosmetology and nursing. Linda held down many jobs in customer service and many restaurants all over Philadelphia, She even worked security with her brother Leon . In 1997, Linda met Douglas Harris "Rock". He was instantly attracted to her beauty and kind, fierce spirit, and she was attracted to his sense of humor. They tied the knot on February 14, 1998, and enjoyed many years together, joining Van and RV clubs and winning trophies and awards. From that union, she became a Dallas Cowboys fan. Linda retired in 2009 after 30 years of nursing at Spears Personal Care.
Linda had a natural charisma that allowed her to make friends no matter the situation. Her laugh was infectious to everyone around her. Linda was down to earth, and her passion was taking care of people. She was always smiling and helping when she could.She was always a giving person no matter your flaws she would accept you for who you were. She was always kind and forgiving she never turned anyone down that came upon her. She loved getting together with family and seeing everyone enjoy themselves. Linda loved fashion and took pride in looking good. She loved the colorful things in life, Music, and dancing and was always the life of the party. Her overflowing and unconditional love for family and friends created memories and bonds that are forever woven into the lives of those she touched.
Linda departed this life on August 29, 2025, to be reunited with her mother, Margarett; her father, Leon; and her three sisters, Wanda, Sheila, and Vicki. Linda leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Douglas Harris; her children, Darrell, Walter (Tasha), and Linda; her grandchildren, Amirah, Adrina, Camron, Uzziah, and Uriel; her siblings, her twin brother, Leon (Bea), and sister Toni; her sister in Christ, Denise; her cousin, Greg; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved. We are incredibly grateful for the precious time we spent with her and appreciate all the love and everything she did for us throughout her life.
