Larry Henry Wilson

Larry Henry Wilson was born on June 19, 1946, in Holmesburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Carolyn Jane Wilson and Warren Wilson. He was the middle child and shared a close bond with his family. He was devoted to his older sister, Jackie, and his younger brother, Everett, both of whom preceded him in death.

In August 1972, Larry Henry Wilson and Arlene F. Boulden were united in marriage. From this union, two sons were born, Larry Charlton Everett and Justin Cord.

Larry received his education through the School District of Philadelphia and graduated from Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical High School. He continued his studies at the Community College of Philadelphia before earning an associate degree from Temple University.

Larry accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. Philip's Lutheran Church in West Philadelphia, where he faithfully served as an altar boy. His love for Christ and dedication to serving the church became a lasting legacy that he passed on to his children, who also served as altar boys.

As a young man, Larry enjoyed athletics. He played baseball in neighborhood leagues and excelled in track and field throughout his youth, continuing to run track during his high school years.

Larry was a proud Prince Hall Mason, serving with the Prince Hall Grand Lodge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He valued fellowship, integrity, and service, embodying the principles of the organization throughout his life.

Family meant everything to Larry. He treasured spending time with his loved ones, watching movies, and enjoying the company of his friends, children, and siblings. He was a true car enthusiast whose passion for automobiles began at an early age when he learned to drive. Larry was also known for his impeccable sense of style. No matter the occasion or destination, he always took pride in looking his very best.

Larry possessed a remarkable appreciation for people and cultures. His wisdom, respect for others, and ability to connect with anyone made him a beloved neighbor and friend. Whether through meaningful conversation or a simple act of kindness, he touched countless lives and earned the admiration of everyone who knew him.

Following high school, Larry began a distinguished career with Boeing Vertol, where he worked as an Aircraft Structure Assembler for more than 30 years. His strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment were hallmarks of both his professional and personal life.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Larry, Glen, Larry Everett, Everett, and Justin; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Though Larry's physical presence is no longer with us, his legacy of faith, family, friendship, hard work, kindness, and dignity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever.
