Life Story

  1. JAMES D. CAHOE, affectionately known as “Jim,” was born on January 27,
  2. 1969, and entered eternal rest on May 28, 2026.
  3. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Betty Cahoe, whose love,
  4. and guidance remained with him throughout his life.

  5. As a child, Jim was calm, respectful, and easygoing. He had a gentle spirit, a
  6. bright smile, and a natural ability to bring joy to those around him. His
  7. peaceful presence and kind heart made him loved by family and friends alike.

  8. Jim was educated in the Philadelphia School District, attending Pastor
  9. Middle School, Ada Lewis High School, and Simon Gratz High School.
  10. During his youth, he developed a passion for football, playing for the Pop
  11. Warner Raiders 75 -Pounders before continuing the sport at Simon Gratz. A
  12. dedicated and hardworking man, Jim spent several years working at Lee’s
  13. Hoagie House, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly
  14. personality.

  15. Family was the center of Jim’s life. His greatest pride and joy was his
  16. daughter, Sade Cahoe -Miles. Their bond was built on love, trust, laughter,
  17. and unwavering support. He cherished every moment with her and welcomed
  18. his son -in -law, Kevin Miles, as a valued part of the family. Jim loved
  19. bringing people together. Family cookouts filled with tasty food, music,
  20. laughter, and storytelling were among his favorite moments. He also enjoyed
  21. listening to music and spending quiet time reflecting. He shared a special
  22. bond with his great -nieces and great -nephews, always offering love,
  23. encouragement, and support. Jim made it a point to stay connected with those
  24. he cared about, often calling just to check in, share a laugh, or let someone
  25. know they were on his mind. He never forgot a birthday, holiday, or
  26. important milestone.

  27. Known for his generosity and kindness, Jim would help anyone in need. His
  28. contagious smile, sense of humor, and uplifting spirit brought comfort and
  29. laughter to countless people. Though he carried his own burdens, he faced
  30. life with strength, grace, and resilience. Jim was a loyal, dependable man
  31. who lived with dignity and always put family first. His presence was
  32. comforting, his laughter unforgettable, and his love enduring. To know Jim
  33. was truly to love him. Though his earthly journey has ended, his legacy of
  34. love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who
  35. knew him.

  36. Jim leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved daughter, Sade Cahoe -Miles, and son -in law, Kevin Miles; his loving sister, Yvette Taylor; his brother, Charles Cahoe; his cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and
  37. extended family; his lifelong friends and brothers at heart, DeShawn Hairston and
  38. and Nelson Hammond; and a host of relatives, friends, and loved ones whose
  39. lives were touched by his presence.
