                                                                                 Life Story of George W. Woods Jr.

George W. Woods Jr. was born on July 6, 1957f, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Marie (Hayward) Woods and George Woods Sr. George transitioned from this world on August 13, 2025. George was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. George eventually found a career in Environmental Services in which he found rewarding and decided to relocate to Poconos. There, he worked for a prestigious company as a supervisor for many years before returning to Philadelphia, PA. Upon returning to his hometown, George went on to work for Haverford College where he retired from the Environmental Services Industry. He was honored for his impeccable dedication to his staff and commitment to his work.

Outside of his busy career, George had a deep love for sports; a true sportsman who enjoyed playing Football, Basketball, and Baseball. Most importantly, he was an avid fan of our belovedPhiladelphia E.A.G.L.E.S. He never missed a game and cheered them as the Eagles won the 2025 NFC Championship! George was preceded in heaven by his mother Marie Woods, father George Woods Sr., and two brothers, Gordan and Jeffrey Woods. George leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers Warren Woods (Philadelphia), Randy Woods (Philadelphia), two Aunts Bertha Stafford (Joe) NJ, and Vern Hayward (PA), one Uncle Jimmy Hayward, one niece Jasmine Woods and a host of family and friends.

George will be deeply missed.
